about

No, you’re not a doctor, or a teacher, or a firefighter but you still have a very important job—you’re a fortune teller in the heart of Los Angeles and people need you. They pay you good money to guide them, help them through tough times, and to tell them what the future will bring. The problem is you’re just as lost as they are and don’t know the first thing about them or what lies ahead. You lie to every person who sits in front of you with their palms up and their eyes closed begging for answers but that’s okay because people don’t want the truth. People don’t really want to know what the future looks like, they want hope and you give it to them. So rest easy fortune teller, as long as your stories are fun, as long as your stories are good, and as long as your stories are gold, people will always need you.

lyrics

I don’t know
how to be good
When you’re around
Shut your mouth I’m not finished yet
Shut your mouth I’m not finished yet

Palms up
Eyes closed
Head down
All just for me
Shut your mouth I’m not finished yet
Shut your mouth I’m not finished yet

I don’t know how to read
but my stories are fun
Like magic

I don’t know how to read
but my stories are good
Like magic

Dark times
Cheap smile
Seems right
by candle light
Shut your mouth I’m not finished yet
Shut your mouth I’m not finished yet

I think your past life
Controls your present one
I love your future, in the future I can never be wrong
Shut your mouth I’m not finished yet
Shut your mouth I’m not finished yet

I don’t know how to read
but my stories are fun
Like magic

I don’t know how to read
But my stories are good
Like magic

I don't know how to read
But my stories are gold

Your future looks so bright to me
I can't be good when my magic's free.
