about

You're lying in bed during the quietest hours of the night and the only thing keeping you company is the constant hum of your own loneliness. Just when it feels like you can't take anymore, They come to visit — with their open hearts and their big black eyes. They crossed the entire universe just to be with you and suddenly your world is full. Sleep is a time capsule to the next morning and you find yourself alone again. The radio talks of discs in the sky but all you can feel is the emptiness in your heart. Maybe your father was right, but love is love no matter what planet you're from.

lyrics

[Verse 1]
Open the door
and let them in
a disc that spins
in the hallway

I heard the crash
the hiss and wail
while I paint my nails
they look so lovely

[Chorus]
And my father was right
I heard it on the radio in my room
Because there was two of them
and we were
so in love
and it was something

The next day they were gone
and I wanted to die right in my bed
where the light was on the night's so dark
and now there's nothing

[Verse 2]
They came to my room
with their big black eyes
and a stretch of my
forgiveness

And when they left it tore my insides out
knowing they left it tears me inside out
and now that I'm left I feel so inside out

[Bridge]
Now don't make me cry
just don't make me cry
I don't wanna cry
